Weekly Round-Up: Fenty Galaxy, Urban Decay Glitter Liners and lots of metal!

Categories Weekly Round-Up

This week there’s been a lot of holiday collection releases and compared to last week, a lot of lip products. I don’t think starting this series has been a good idea for me, it makes me want to buy everything!

Urban Decay

Urban Decay have released a new range of glitter eyeliners. I’ve always been interested in glitter eyeliners but the ones I’ve swatched in store never seem to be worth purchasing. I’m hoping this changes the game!

Alongside their glitter eyeliners, they’ve released a heavy metal eyeshadow palette. On one side, you have a set of neutral shimmers and on the other, they have some more colourful options. Overall, I think this is a great colour selection but I don’t understand why there is a large gap in the middle of the palette?

Revlon

Revlon have released a new blue shade of their Matte Metallic Lipcolor. Not my style, but would you wear it? It could be used for a halloween outfit, but not a daily look!

Fenty Beauty

I’m sure you’ve seen this online – Fenty’s Galaxy collection is finally available to purchase from Harvey Nichols here in the UK! I love the unique shape and colour choice of the packaging of Fenty’s products, it’s really unique. I also love the shades of lipstick available, they’re a different take on shades we’ve seen before.

Makeup Revolution

Makeup Revolution are known for creating *almost* exact dupes of many high-end products and these highlighters are a great example of that. These highlighters resemble Too Faced ‘sweetheart’ highlighters, but do they perform as well? Rainbow highlighters aren’t my thing, but these could be very interesting.

Additionally, they’ve also released new loose powder highlighters! I’ve never seen loose powder highlighters before and I definitely want to pick this up to experiment with the uses listed above in the Instagram post description.

I’ve been eyeing up Makeup Revolution’s lip kits on Instagram for a while and some of these shades might tempt me into picking up a kit! I really like the red and the light pink shades.

Maybelline

If you’re a fan of Maybelline’s Fit Me blush, you’ll be happy to know they’ve upgraded their formula. Hopefully it’ll be more pigmented and longer wearing!

Here’s something else you’ve probably seen all over social media – Gigi Hadid’s collaboration with Maybelline. I don’t like how slim the pans are for the blush and bronzer, I don’t think they would pick up a lot of product. The shades aren’t particularly interesting either so I won’t be picking this up.

Morphe

There’s no better way to celebrate the anniversary of the 35O Palette, than release a killer sequel! 🔥 @moniqueabelmakeup is loving our 35O2: Second Nature Palette. Celebrate with us! It’s available Online & In-Store. 💥 #MorpheFam

Morphe definitely aren’t sleeping on how popular the original 35O palette was and have come out with a second edition. It includes a range of shimmer and matte shades unlike the original which had two separate palettes. I think I still prefer the original palette, but I’m sure this will still be just as popular.

Pixi Beauty

If you know one product by Pixi Beauty, it’s the Glow Tonic. And they definitely aren’t letting you forget that by including it in with nearly all of their holiday collection bundles! I’m a fan of getting deluxe size products as I never go through my full-sized ones, so I think this a great idea.

No 7

No 7 have released a new foundation that could be quite promising. It doesn’t mention the coverage, but I believe this will give you a natural finish with added benefit of including SPF 15. I might pick this up to try out because I’ve been searching for a natural foundation that isn’t too sheer.

Marc Jacobs

If you were one of the many that loved Marc Jacobs’ Velvet Noir mascara, you might be happy to know they’ve released a collector’s edition with a zebra print casing. Personally, I feel like they could have gone with a more classy design that stands out more.

They’ve also released a 5 piece lip lacquer set for their Holiday 2017 collection. I really love the shades available as they all match with each other and are all very unique!

Mac

Mac have released nine new shades to their Liptensity collection. To me, theses shade don’t really excite me as I feel as if every collection (especially Mac’s) has these shades. However, if you’re a fan of this formula, this might be great news to you!

Barry M

Barry M is a drugstore brand available in the UK that nobody really talks about! I really love the shades in this palette, they have a lot of autumn vibes. Although, I wish they had added some shimmer shades.

However, they have also released a shimmer palette which you could use alongside their new Fall in Love palette – and it won’t break the bank!

Estee Lauder

To conclude, this was probably the most exciting thing I’ve seen all week! I need this item in my makeup collection! The glitter looks quite chunky, so I wonder whether it’ll irritate your eyes?

Conclusion

There’s been a lot of colourful releases this week, galaxy and glitter has definitely become a trend. For all those interested in only neutral shades, you need to change your game! I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone recently and have been wearing quite bold eyeshadow whenever I do my makeup. I figured that I have so many palettes that I should use them more often. I really love that all these brands are coming out with more colourful options to make everyone’s makeup slightly unique and more personal to them.
